A mentor of mine described this as the Eden complex.
A belief system that  "everything  will be better if only we went back to the way things used to be".

Remember Jack Nicholson in Chinatown? the odd detective movie from the 70s.
Tptb were siphoning off water for their projects in Vegas and ?? maybe Napa Valley. A water engineer was killed when he found pipes that were draining the water basin.
They also ended the era of popular cable cars and forced people to buy automobiles.
That mercantile age is being reset with a new one. Massive dopopulation and a feudal workforce.

The best years of my life were spent on the Colorado River, my idea of shangri la. I reaped the benefits engineered by "the builders" during the mid 1900s to the first decade of the 2000s. Then everything changed. I learned of "the plan," a.k.a. the heritage or rewilding project, to remove all humans from wherever they are, to a handful of regulated compound megacities... from a man in black whom I interviewed for the local newspaper. The builders intend to return North America to how it was before "Columbus".. "discovered" it. Remove the people (us) from the land, then bring back the razorback sucker, panthers and maybe clone up some sabertooth tigers and mastodons while reforestation unmolested by people make it all green again. Ladies and gentlemen, this is still the plan and it is happening right now.

I was a realtor in the early '80s when FHA and VA interest rates were 14.5 percent. I know how this ends. Look out below. Pain is coming. Although I'm not big on the health ranger, he nailed this.

Think wheelbarrows.
With paper or linen fiat you could at least wipe your  butt.
Celluloid  will be a flash in the pan.

Oh boy, another great reset. Law of the jungle is firing up for a coupla hundred years, at the end of which no one will remember or care what happened. Like last time and the time before that one and so on. The gene splicers will shrink us down, I have a feeling, to about 3 feet tall and we'll die of old age at 25.

(Greg Hunter via ZeroHedge) Precious metals expert and financial writer Bill Holter said in early April that he thought we did not have much time until the financial meltdown started.  He gave it 60 days.  Two months later, the meltdown started in earnest right on time.

The world is at debt levels never seen before, and Holter contends rising interest rates are the key driver here and now.  Holter explains, “Interest rates are the key to the whole collapse..."
