I wonder what another writer thought about evil -- Herman Melville, author of Moby Dick.

I never even thought about that! whale oil? and men risked their lives for oil to light up homes??
I used to teach Moby Dick, which the students hated. but still a great novel.
and a big part of the Star Trek movie with Khan.

But who benefited? Humans. or the Old Ones?
I am an environmentalist. I see so much damage to our natural world, so much more that puny humans could ever have done.
